Joanna Lumley being welcomed in Nepal 2009
Joanna Lumley has generously agreed to be Patron of the Tilden Project Nepal.
We are enormously grateful for her help which will have an impact both here and in Nepal, where she has achieved ‘semi goddess’ status.

I am proud to be a Patron of this beautiful little charity

Donations

We are indebted to those Trusts, organisations and individuals who have sent substantial donations in 2009.
Special thanks to our supporters who make regular monthly donations, these enable us to be confident of meeting our salary commitments.

Work continues with the smokeless stove scheme, provision of clean water supplies to schools, funeral shelters and pre-school nurseries. We have requests for provision of new nurseries and have just completed a new building at Buddha School.

TPN also now employs a librarian who we hope will help us extend our initial provision of books more widely in the community. The committee in Aruchour have been exploring extension of the goat scheme, chicken farming and a longer term project of tree planting. We will have more details after Jan’s 2010 trip.

The Trustees Of Tilden Project Nepal very much appreciate your continued encouragement and support.
